Job summary

DISPLATE MANUFACTURING INC in Louisville, KY is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily floor operations on our metal poster lines. You will manage a team of operators, oversee print and packaging quality, and ensure safety and productivity targets are met.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive line balancing, coach staff, and partner with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and continuously improve throughput.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shift activities across printing, metal cutting, corner-rounding, quality control, and final product packaging lines.
• Monitor real-time line speeds, error rates, and print quality to ensure adherence to product standards.
• Conduct daily shift huddles, assign work stations, and manage line balancing and break rotations.
• Enforce all plant safety regulations, PPE usage, machine guarding rules, and 5S cleanliness standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or material issues in real-time with maintenance and quality teams.
• Partner with Operations Manager on coaching, performance evaluations, attendance, and onboarding new staff.

About the Role:

The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager, manages daily floor operations for our metal poster manufacturing lines. In this leadership position, you will manage a team of operators, oversee print and packaging quality, enforce OSHA safety standards, and ensure your shift consistently meets daily output goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct daily shift activities across printing, metal cutting, corner-rounding, quality control, and final product packaging lines.
• Monitor real-time line speeds, error rates, and print quality to ensure strict adherence to Displate product standards.
• Conduct daily shift huddles, assign work stations, and manage line balancing and break rotations.
• Enforce all plant safety regulations, proper PPE usage, machine guarding rules, and 5S cleanliness standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or material issues in real-time alongside maintenance and quality teams.
• Partner with Operations Manager on employee coaching, performance evaluations, attendance tracking, and onboarding new staff.

Essential Job Functions & Duty Disclosure:

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8 to 12 hours per shift. Frequent bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual dexterity required. Work Environment: Active manufacturing environment with active machinery, UV/heat presses, moving conveyors, and high foot traffic. PPE (safety glasses, closed-toe shoes) required.
