Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations within an assigned production area for a well-established, global aerospace and defense OEM in the greater Los Angeles area. This role is responsible for developing the team, managing resources and delivering against safety, quality, productivity and customer delivery requirements.
The Role
You’ll maintain a strong presence on the production floor, working closely with Production Team Leads and cross-functional partners to keep work moving, resolve barriers and improve performance. While Team Leads provide hands‑on technical guidance and daily work coordination, you’ll own the broader priorities of the cell, including staffing, employee performance, production planning and continuous improvement. This opportunity is suited to a manufacturing leader who sets clear expectations, builds accountability and can balance immediate production needs with improvements that strengthen the operation over time.

Lead and Develop the Team
- Supervise production employees, establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, quality, output and delivery.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, recognize contributions and address performance concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Partner with Production Team Leads to identify training needs, support cross‑training and strengthen technical capability across the cell.
- Communicate daily priorities and changes clearly so employees understand their responsibilities and how their work supports customer commitments.
Manage Daily Production
- Translate production requirements into daily work priorities, aligning staffing, equipment capacity and material availability with delivery schedules.
- Monitor progress against production targets and adjust resources to address bottlenecks, changing demand and competing priorities.
- Work with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and other support functions to resolve material shortages, technical issues and process constraints.
- Ensure production activities follow applicable work instructions, quality requirements and safety procedures.
- Escalate risks to production and customer delivery with clear recovery actions and support needs.
Drive Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Lead daily production reviews using visual management and operational data to identify gaps, assign actions and track follow‑through.
- Apply lean practices, including 5S, standardized work and waste reduction, to improve workflow, consistency and productivity.
- Coach employees and Team Leads in structured problem‑solving, supporting root‑cause identification and actions that prevent recurring issues.
- Use ERP systems and reporting tools to maintain visibility into work status, production performance and resource needs.
- Balance daily execution with practical improvement initiatives that strengthen the production system.
