Job summary

Blue Origin in Longmont, CO, is seeking a production supervisor to lead a team of electromechanical and mechanical technicians in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient processes in a on-site facility.

• Provide feedback to leadership and engineering teams to drive continuous process improvements.
• Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure optimal staffing levels and proactively address workforce gaps.
• Supervise technician workmanship certifications and schedule required training with internal and external trainers.
• Advise Human Resources and the Production Manager on corrective actions; conduct employee counseling sessions to address non-compliance issues.
• Ensure effective on-the-job training for direct employees and contract workers.
• Monitor tool calibration status and collaborate with the Quality team to ensure schedules align with build needs.
• Participate and lead Production-focused Gemba walks.
• Utilize our ERP system to access and manage production related activities.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Lead all aspects of accurate storage and handling of materials and finished goods.
• Perform other duties as required to support production and business needs.

Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $43.83 - $61.35
