Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Liverpool, PA seeks a skilled supervisor to coordinate activities of workers in the construction of factory-built housing within a manufacturing plant.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, relationship-building, planning, scheduling, attention to detail, and problem-solving, with at least 5 years in a supervisory manufacturing role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels.
• Strong leadership and planning/scheduling skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structure.
• Study production schedules and assign employees as required to meet production schedules.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Calculate time card totals and production records.
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
• Set up machines and equipment.

Summary

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
