Job summary

Reco NC in Kinston, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production employees in a manufacturing setting, ensuring on-time delivery, quality products, and adherence to cost, safety, and quality standards.

You will train and develop staff, enforce safe work practices, and coordinate with office staff and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and successful operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage a team consisting of entry-level, semi-skilled, and skilled employees.
• Direct the work group or department to ensure on-time production and delivery of products.
• Select, train, and develop employees to perform at and above standard efficiency.
• Train and cross-train employees on products, machinery, processes, and company policies.
• Teach and enforce safe work practices and proper housekeeping procedures.
• Ensure safety by proactively identifying concerns and resolving incidents promptly.
• Maintain production quality standards and consistent adherence.
• Foster high employee morale and positive working relationships.
• Control absenteeism, scrap, and waste within the department.
• Maintain regular communication with office staff to exchange information.
• Interact with senior management and ownership to support company success and growth.
• Develop corrective action plans when performance goals are not met and ensure completion.
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements and Competencies

Education
