Poultry Live Production Supervisor / Farm Supervisor
Scramble Staffing is conducting a nationwide search for experienced Poultry Live Production Supervisors and Farm Supervisors for opportunities throughout the United States.
We are seeking candidates with hands on commercial poultry experience who understand live bird production, flock health and welfare, environmental controls, production goals, equipment, and employee supervision. Candidates should be comfortable working directly in poultry houses and taking responsibility for the overall performance of the houses and birds under their supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of assigned poultry houses and ensure the health and wellbeing of the birds remain the top priority.
- Conduct daily inspections of birds and monitor feed, water, temperature, ventilation, air quality, and overall environmental conditions.
- Monitor flock health and identify sick or injured birds, production concerns, or changes in bird behavior that require attention.
- Ensure proper animal welfare and bird handling practices are consistently followed.
- Supervise, train, direct, and develop employees working within assigned houses or farm operations.
- Monitor production performance and feed goals and maintain accurate production records, reports, checklists, and required documentation.
- Monitor barn environmental control systems throughout the day and take corrective action when necessary.
- Monitor feeding, watering, ventilation, production, and other poultry house equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance of barns, equipment, and machinery as needed.
- Work with production management, veterinarians, and nutrition professionals to address flock health, nutrition, production, and environmental concerns.
- Maintain proper barn and service area cleanliness and biosecurity standards.
- Ensure company safety procedures, animal care standards, and operating policies are followed.
- Assist with animal welfare programs, documentation, and preparation for audits.
- Immediately report significant bird health, equipment, environmental, or production issues to management.
- Participate in an on call rotation and respond to alarms or emergencies outside normal working hours when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in commercial poultry live production is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory, farm management, or team leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of poultry health, animal welfare, feed and water systems, ventilation, environmental controls, and poultry house equipment.
- Ability to identify flock health, environmental, equipment, and production issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in an agricultural environment and perform the physical requirements associated with poultry farm operations.
- Availability to respond to farm emergencies or alarms when required.
- Willingness to relocate may be required depending on the opportunity.
