A leading company in the manufacturing industry seeks a Production Supervisor in Kent, Washington. The successful candidate will direct and advance production processes, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves substantial team leadership, training, and operational excellence, making it vital for maintaining production standards.
Requirements -Position requires three to five years’ supervisory experience, plus an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or the equivalent - training and or experience. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Summary
The Production Supervisor reports to the General Manager of the Department. Responsible for directing Production Team Leaders in production processes. Establish and advance associate skills and teamwork through training and education. Promote associate relations and satisfactorily resolve associate performance issues and concerns through good open communications. Implement and advance philosophy and uphold its rules, regulations and policies in a fair and equitable manner. Establish and maintain a stable production process through 5S, standardization, visual control, and Kaizen to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity through the use of the CA-PDCA cycle.
Duties Include But Not Limited To:
Directing activities of Team Leaders
Develop and implement training plans for associates
Coaching and counseling as required
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all associates
Responsible for maintaining customer quality requirements
Responsible for productivity
Responsible for process rejects
Responsible for proper abnormality reporting and action
Responsible for process improvements in safety and developing countermeasures for problems in the areas of, quality, scrap, and productivity
Implementing philosophy to associates
Maintaining manufacturing and operation standards, key quality check sheets, necessary packaging standards
Responsible for manufacturing and shipping of products to customers on time
Maintaining and adhering to KANBAN systems
Directing KAIZEN activities for team members
Working with other departments and Japanese coordinators to achieve above
