Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Kansas City facility is seeking a third-shift Corrugator Supervisor to lead a dynamic, safety-focused team on the 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. shift.

This leadership role emphasizes coaching and developing workers while driving continuous improvement in a unionized corrugated packaging environment. The candidate will guide safety, quality, and production on the floor, ensuring high standards and timely output across converting and corrugator operations.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Experience in corrugated industry or unionized environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive safety excellence by promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability; identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies; investigate incidents and identify root causes.
  • Provide leadership on the operating floor and promote compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, production, technical skills, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ensure best practices are followed to minimize waste at machine centers.
  • Address key issues and collaborate with employees from other departments to ensure high-quality, on-time production.
  • Identify repairs needed at machine centers and create work requests for completion.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and provide leadership and action plans to close gaps.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; evaluate performance and provide feedback.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship
