Job summary

Orange EV is seeking Production Management in Kansas City, KS to lead assembly and manufacturing teams building electric vehicles. The role requires hands-on leadership, process optimization, and cross-department collaboration to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in assembly supervision, strong reading of engineering drawings, and experience with Lean manufacturing and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Generate new concepts to achieve a competitive edge in manufacturing.
• Prepare standard practice instructions with your team for all operations.
• Work with other departments to generate and track the BOM for each customer vehicle.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership to manufacturing and assembly team to build electric vehicles on time and within budget
• Be willing to get hands on when necessary to make schedule or improve process / teamwork
• Understand process capabilities and process balancing to reduce bottlenecks and increase output
• Develop the assembly line and the processes to create top quality electric vehicles for our customers
• Find and retain great team members who will work for you and are able to deliver top quality products on time and under budget
• Develop strong relationships with all departments, and work together for the best outcome of the company
• Generate new concepts and innovative ideas in manufacturing processes to achieve a competitive edge
• Prepare SPI’s (Standard Practice Instructions) with your team on all assembly and manufacturing operations
• Work closely with other departments to generate and track the BOM for each customers vehicle

Position Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of Assembly line supervision
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with an ERP system
• Highly organized, and able to report status of projects at any time
