Job summary

Bellisio Foods Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the assigned production area and its staff under the Plant Manager's direction. You will ensure product quality, safety, and line efficiency while maintaining adherence to GMPs and company policies.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, proficiency with MS Office, and excellent communication and documentation skills to manage schedules, payroll, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of GMPs in food manufacturing and SSOPs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the assigned production area and staff under Plant Manager guidance.
• Model and enforce safety policies, HACCP, GMPs/SSOPs, and company policies.
• Maintain inventory and oversee materials for department and finished goods.
• Ensure product quality and on-time production with efficient line performance.
• Schedule staff, monitor attendance, and manage payroll hours including overtime.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the direction and leadership of assigned production area and the employees in that section. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of the product, as well as production line efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Model and enforce departmental safety policies and practices, HACCP procedures, GMP’s / SSOP’s and other company policies.
• Responsible for inventory of all materials used in department and finished goods.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Supervise, lead, and train department employees.
• Monitor employee attendance and discipline as necessary.
• Manage hourly employee job performance. Coach, affirm, counsel, and discipline as needed.
• Evaluate employees during their probationary period and make determinations on ability of job performance.
• Consult with Human Resources to determine course of action for employees who do not meet the standard requirements.
• Schedule employees and approve payroll hours, including overtime and paid days off.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years supervisory experience
• Understanding of food manufacturing GMP’s
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Organized time manager with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to function well under pressure
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and documentation skills
