Job summary

Sanderson Pipe Corporation, a leading PVC pipe manufacturer in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to manage daily operations and drive continuous improvement. You will oversee scheduling, safety, QA, and teamwork to ensure timely production of high-quality pipe products for municipal, industrial, and commercial markets.

Responsibilities include planning daily work, monitoring efficiency, evaluating paperwork, and leading staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production and machine operating conditions daily.
• Direct and plan daily work schedule including preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by all personnel.
• Verify production paperwork for accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate scheduling based on sales projections to meet goals.
• Provide leadership and training to subordinates for growth.
• Ensure shifts are staffed to meet production targets.
• Monitor product quality to meet NSF/ASTM standards.
• Analyze plant operations for efficiency and downtime reduction.
• Oversee cost-effective formulation testing for quality products.
• Prepare and conduct performance reviews for supervisors.
• Promote morale and teamwork across staff.
• Generate Scrap Summary Reports.
• Attend daily production meetings with Plant Manager.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate previous daily production and machine operating conditions.
• Direct and plan daily work schedule incorporating equipment preventative maintenance.
• Comply and ensure personnel are following safety policies and company procedures.
• Verify production paperwork for accuracy and completion in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and evaluate production scheduling based on sales projections to ensure there is an adequate inventory of supplies and staffing to meet production goals.
• Provide leadership and training to subordinates to promote continual growth in job, skill, and knowledge.
• Ensure that shifts are staffed adequately to meet production goals.
• Monitor product quality on a routine basis to ensure the finished product meets/exceeds NSF and ASTM standards.
• Evaluate plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize production downtime.
• Process formulation tests to ensure a cost-efficient quality product.
• Responsible for preparing and conducting performance reviews for production supervisors in a timely manner.
• Promote good morale among personnel to encourage a teamwork environment.
• Generate Scrap Summary Reports.
• Attend daily production meetings and work closely with the Plant Manager.
• Any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager.

Preferred Qualification & Education:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Efficient typing skills with an emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to compile information and make decisions
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred but not required
• Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience required
