Job summary

Sanderson Pipe is looking for a Production Manager to ensure production goals and product quality adhere to SPC standards. The role involves directing daily work, coordinating scheduling, maintaining safety policies, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

You will lead and train staff, monitor quality against NSF/ASTM/UL standards, optimize plant operations for efficiency, and prepare performance reviews for supervisors. The position emphasizes teamwork and cost-efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate previous daily production and machine operating conditions.
• Direct and plan daily work schedule incorporating equipment preventative maintenance.
• Comply and ensure personnel are following safety policies and company procedures.
• Verify production paperwork for accuracy and completion in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and evaluate production scheduling based on sales projections to ensure there is an adequate inventory of supplies and staffing to meet production goals.
• Provide leadership and training to subordinates to promote continual growth in job, skill, and knowledge.
• Monitor product quality on a routine basis to ensure the finished product meets/exceeds NSF, ASTM, and UL standards.
• Evaluate plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency, minimize production down time, and scrap goal levels are achieved.
• Process formulation tests to ensure a cost-efficient quality product allows Sanderson Pipe to be competitive in the sales market.
• Responsible for preparing and conducting performance reviews for production supervisors in a timely manner.
• Promote a discrimination-free workplace and good morale among personnel to encourage a teamwork environment.
• Order supplies for the department.
• Generate Scrap Summary Reports.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Plant Manager.
