Client is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal components.
Job Responsibilities
- Review department and individual performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance our efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery performance.
- Implement or sustain organizational structure within your responsible department(s) and identify succession plans or coverage for absences by utilizing a skills matrix.
- Periodic performance reviews of team members as well as disciplinary actions for employees that are not following established processes or procedures.
- Develop or modify instructions as required to maintain or improve 6s, Kanban systems, general work instructions, quality, start/end of shift, preventative maintenance programs or efficiency.
- Analyze historical data to make informed decisions regarding capital expenditures or strategic decisions on production or process flow.
- Lead or participate in Corrective Action Reports for activities associated with your department(s).li>
- Responsible for keeping Operations / General Manager informed on all problems, potential and actual that could affect production goals, quality levels and meet delivery dates.
- Plan and organize projects in a timely manner. Establish priorities with employees and/or appropriate parties and communicate well.
- Communicate with direct reports, planning, quality, and customer service daily to ensure production is working on the right products to achieve quality parts are delivered on the committed date.
- Must foster a culture of strong accountability on the manufacturing floor.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001).
- Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.
- At least 5 years of related experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, ERP System.
- Lean or Six Sigma Certificate preferred.
- Previous fastener manufacturing experience preferred; general manufacturing experience required.
- Knowledge of CNC manufacturing required.
- Knowledge of hot forging/induction heating preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs.
- May have prolonged periods sitting at a desk or walking around the plant.
