Job summary

Clover Consulting is seeking a Production Supervisor for a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on manufacturing operations, people management, and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach and strong communication to lead teams through change. The position is a 12 months contract to hire, onsite for 1st shift (6am-4pm approximate).

Target rate is $30/hr W2. Responsibilities include driving schedules, safety, and quality improvements while developing a team of 20–30 hourly

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of proven leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
• Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with engineering methods and capacity analysis.
• Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to adapt quickly and lead through change.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a production division from raw materials to finished product, ensuring schedules are met.
• Lead and develop a team of 20–30 hourly employees, focusing on performance, training, and development.
• Participate in a leadership rotational program.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers to control costs and meet corporate goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
• Drive quality improvements and customer satisfaction.
• Provide coverage for Operations Managers and lead special projects as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to move between manufacturing areas based on business needs.
