Job summary

Rinker is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily concrete production operations, schedule management, and staff supervision. The role emphasizes safety adherence and collaboration with maintenance teams to meet production specifications and customer expectations.

The candidate will coordinate raw material deliveries, manage inventories, and optimize processes while communicating effectively across departments. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience including team building, facilitation, mentoring and follow-through.
• Knowledge of production management in the concrete industry or equivalent.
• Strong ability to provide direction, develop and lead a team, and achieve goals efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; professional demeanor.

About the Role:

• Oversees daily operations, ensuring efficient concrete production. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, supervising staff, and enforcing safety protocols.
• Monitor equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance teams.
• Coordinates raw material deliveries, maintains inventory, and optimizes production processes.
• Effective communication with team members, management, and other departments is essential for seamless plant operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience including team building, facilitation, mentoring and follow-through.
• Knowledge of production management in the concrete industry or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure and shipping and fulfillment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide direction, develop and lead a team, provide strategic direction, and inspire the team to achieve key goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ability to apply problem solving techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at all times with all levels of team members.
• Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
• Ability to read and apply information fromplans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and ability to travel 5-10 percent of the time to locations and/or meetings.
