Job summary

Rinker Materials in Florida is seeking a Production Lead to supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficiency and quality across the line.

You will lead a team, train new staff, monitor machinery, plan schedules with production management, and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe, productive work environment. The role offers opportunities for growth within our growing infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Concrete and/or construction experience, preferred.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead a team while upholding company policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks daily.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of production workers, providing guidance and training.
  • Plan and organize daily production schedules with management.
  • Coordinate workflow to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor machinery and equipment operation.
  • Train new staff and ensure ongoing safety and procedures.
  • Manage raw materials with inventory control to ensure supplies.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Maintain production records including output and downtime.
  • Address production issues promptly with corrective actions.
  • Communicate with management and other departments for smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with other leads and department heads to meet company objectives.
  • Conduct shift handovers with clear status reports.

About The Role
  • Supervise and lead a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Collaborate with production management to plan and organize daily production schedules and activities.
  • Coordinate the workflow within the production area, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor and ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment used in the production process.
  • Train new production team members and ensure ongoing training for existing staff on safety and production procedures.
  • Work with inventory control to manage raw material levels and ensure sufficient supplies for production.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all production personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, downtime, and any issues encountered.
  • Address production-related issues promptly, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Communicate effectively with production management and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with other production leads and department heads to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Conduct shift handovers, providing clear communication on production status, issues, and tasks to the next shift.
