The Production Supervisor's position is responsible for supervising, leading and mentoring employees in a manufacturing environment. In this position the supervisor will supervise overall production and delegate work assignments to ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) are identified, structured, and addressed. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Supervisor will work closely with the NLT to execute plant targets and initiatives.
Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred or the combination of High School degree with 5-10 years' progressive experience in a manufacturing environment and a supervisory role.
Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints. Ability to lead and motivate co‑workers. Excellent problem‑solving skills and able to diagnose crisis right away. Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach. Hands‑on experience implementing Lean Manufacturing process systems. Able to work well under pressure. Excellent organizational skills. Leadership experience of projects varying in size and scope preferred. Must possess good communication skills – written and oral, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively interface with others and the ability to train others. Must have a firmly demonstrated commitment to safety, with strong leadership, supervisory and people skills. Computer literacy with general skills in data entry and spreadsheets (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Previous exposure to Kronos as a Time Management tool is an asset.
