Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems Inc, through its Precision Power Solutions division, seeks a Production Supervisor to manage the daily thermal battery manufacturing plan in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

You will enforce safety, lead shifts, coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality, ensure readiness, and drive KPI performance while upholding 5S standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to assess staffing levels and recommend adjustments.
  • Understanding of material flow, pellet verification, and upstream production constraints.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Production Leads, and Master Scheduling.
  • Ability to lead production meetings, communicate with production leads, and coordinate shift handoffs.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including responding to production issues in real time.
  • Ability to train, coach, and monitor operator performance and training completion.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures, PPE requirements, cleanliness standards, and 5S practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify staffing needs and adjust workflow to prevent production delays.
  • Ensure materials, documentation, and build requirements are ready in advance.
  • Lead production meetings and communicate daily priorities, issues, and actions.
  • Maintain floor presence to monitor performance, address issues, and support shift changes.
  • Train and coach operators while tracking required training and follow-up.
  • Monitor equipment, tooling, materials, and 5S standards.
  • Coordinate daily shift handoffs and cross-functional activities.
  • Identify material flow and upstream constraints to protect the production schedule.
  • Enforce safety, PPE, cleanliness, and production standards.
  • Review performance and implement corrective or mitigation actions as needed.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and disciplined execution of the daily production plan for thermal battery manufacturing. This role ensures build readiness, enforces work standards, maintains operator accountability, and proactively identifies constraints that may impact schedule, quantity, or revenue attainment. The supervisor ensures all operations follow approved instructions and never allows deviation. Performance directly impacts cost, schedule, and product flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
