Job summary

Packet Digital is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing operations. The role leads production personnel, achieves performance goals, and drives continuous improvement across processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and support ramp-up of new equipment. This position may require flexible scheduling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily battery cell manufacturing operations.
• Assign work, manage staffing, and support production teams in achieving performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Monitor production performance, equipment status, material usage, and manufacturing metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, process, quality, and equipment issues.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, throughput, and equipment utilization.
• Train, mentor, and develop production personnel.
• Manage shift communications and production handoffs.
• Support new equipment commissioning, process qualification, and production ramp-up activities.
• Prepare and communicate production reports and operational updates.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.

Packet Digital is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing advanced manufacturing team developing cutting-edge energy storage solutions for portable electronics, embedded systems, and unmanned aircraft. This role is responsible for leading production personnel, achieving operational goals, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
