Job summary

AvtechTyee is seeking a Production Supervisor in Everett, WA to lead a dedicated team in manufacturing aerospace products. The ideal candidate will drive growth through continuous improvement and effective team management.

AvtechTyee is searching for a Production Supervisor with continuous improvement experience and a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Project Management skills would be a real plus! Working on site at the facility is required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Release and prioritize work orders to achieve production schedules, assign work and estimate worker hour requirements for successful completion of job assignments while meeting delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Correctly interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and effectively assign duties.
  • Meet production schedules, efficiencies and utilization targets.
  • Recommend and initiate measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product within company guidelines.
  • Proactively work to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, departments or work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Accurately maintain time and production records.
  • Correctly and efficiently estimate, requisition and inspect material as required.
  • Confere with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments; successfully collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver business results.
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel and follow up to ensure successful and timely resolution.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of work between shifts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Operations Management is required.
  • At least 2 years’ supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a highly‑regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management.
  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship‑building and employee coaching and development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail.
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a complex business environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (*See below for details).
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non‑U.S. person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.

Wage/salary range for this role is $95k – $128k, depending on education and experience.
