Qualifications

• Prior production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, especially within a Tier 1 supplier.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components is desirable.
• Union manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working second or third shift and ability to troubleshoot production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple lines during 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet demand.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address challenges.
• Monitor KPIs such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and OEE.
• Manage attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate production updates and shift performance to plant leadership.

Location: Elizabethtown, KY
Industry: Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually
Additional Compensation: Eligible for straight-time pay for hours worked over 45 per week
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift

Position Overview

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a well-established Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

This facility specializes in heavy metal stamping and the production of structural components and frames for Ford trucks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, experience overseeing multiple production lines, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines during second or third shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering departments to address production challenges.
• Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall equipment performance.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate production updates, operational concerns, and shift performance to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, particularly within a Tier 1 supplier.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
• Understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.doesn't

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
