Job Description
Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production and line personnel and support the implementation of the site strategy for manufacturing. This effort includes, but is not limited to, supervising all operators and engineers. This individual works with the site manager and all engineers and operators to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products and to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Overseas operations efficiency and standardization in the production lines
  • Directly responsible for the production and quality of the product, as well as line personnel
  • Analyzes and evaluates process improvements in order to reduce defects and scrap and/or improve yields
  • Follows procedures established for each operation, and keep work areas organized and clean at all times
  • Participates and/or lead problem-solving processes, whether due to increasing trends on complaints, defects, scrap, or low productivity, among others
  • Monitors compliance within company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, or other regulations).
  • Complies with all safety and health regulations for the position and the direct reports.
  • Complies with all quality regulations for the position and the direct reports
  • Responsible for ensuring that production processes are aligned with the company's energy policy commitments. Will support improvement analysis processes that impact production processes, enhancing quality and optimizing energy consumption
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 3 -5+ years of experience minimum experience in the medical industry. 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA and OSHA requirements, as a plus
  • Experience analyzing and presenting detailed or advanced metrics using tools
  • Experience in internal and external audits regarding the Quality Management System
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead/influence peers and other functions towards organizational goals
  • Desirable at least one certification-related or applicable to the medical industry. For example, CQE, 6Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt, lean coach, problem-solving techniques, etc.
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to deal with changing assignments and priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
