Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must read welding symbols and prints accurately.
  • Proficient in computer usage and data entry.
  • Familiar with US standard units and metric equivalents.
  • Welding certifications (past) are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and organize day-to-day operations to meet the production schedule.
  • Ensure operators follow the dispatch list and minimize set-ups.
  • Verify parts produced and materials consumed align with work orders.
  • Maintain proper documentation (QARs, travelers, MRB tags).
  • Interpret and enforce department, customer, and internal standards.
  • Notify scheduling and maintenance when a machine goes down.
  • Oversee process inspection, certification and documentation.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and production quota adherence.
  • Record employee time and attendance per company policy.
  • Promote safety and report injuries or near misses.

Job Summary

Supervisor Plans, organizes and supervises day-to-day operations, ensuring that daily production schedule is followed and met.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure that operators are running to the dispatch list (work with scheduling to minimize set-ups)
  • Check and account for every part produced and materials consumed to make those parts are accountable to every operation on every work order
  • Ensure that all documentation (QAR's, job travelers, MRB tags, etc) are filled out properly and completely at end of shift
  • Provide interpretation and direction for department standards, customer standards and specifications, and internal standards and procedures
  • Notify scheduling and maintenance when a machine goes down
  • Process inspection, certification and documentation
  • Hold employees accountable for safety, quality and production quotas
  • Ensure employee time and attendance are recorded properly to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Make conscience efforts to prevent injuries and dangerous situations; report and document any accidents or near misses to the safety officer
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Required)
  • At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
  • High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
  • 2+ years Supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge in welding field and holding welding certifications in the past. (MIG or TIG)
  • Ability to read welding symbols and prints
  • Working knowledge of US standard units of measurement, as well as metric.
  • Computer proficiency

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred (all locations)
Physical Requirements of the Job
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
  • Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both handsFrequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
  • Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
  • Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
  • Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
  • Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
