Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Assembly Production Supervisor for our Irving, TX plant. The role leads frontline operations, coaching teams to solve problems, train on processes, and certify workers to advance their skills while maintaining safety, quality, and delivery standards.

You will monitor production boards, enforce attendance policies, and coordinate with support groups to restore standard operations during abnormal conditions, ensuring continuous improvement and customer

Qualifications

  • Lead with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and production efficiency.
  • Coach and assist employees with problem solving and personal issues.
  • Train team members on processes, procedures, and tasks within the zone.
  • Certify team members on workstations to meet skills progression levels.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and on-time delivery per customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations with accuracy and discipline in your area.
  • Maintain incident reporting and root-cause investigations for injuries and near misses.
  • Monitor attendance and enforce the employee handbook.
  • Oversee hour-by-hour boards, zone boards and production monitoring systems.
  • Direct team leaders, material handlers, operators, and support groups daily.

Their purpose is to oversee all operations within their area, ensuring that Safety, Quality, Delivery and production efficiencies meet the standards and expectation of internal and external customers. Our Supervisors are also morale builders and are responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees.What You'll Do:Manage processes with detailed accuracy, and discipline.Coaches and assist all employees with problem solving, and personal issues.Train team members’ on various processes, procedures and job tasks within their work zoneCertify team members’ on individual workstations to satisfy each level of progression on the skills matrixEnsures quality standards are met.Ensures on time delivery is met according to customer demands, and scheduling.Pays close attention to detail. Example: Safety, Housekeeping, quality, performance, instructions given by management, and employee well-being.Incident reporting, and investigation of root cause for injuries, near misses, and manufacturing equipment incidents (i.e. mis-hit, tool crash, etc..).Monitors employee attendance, and disciplines accordingly in accordance with the employee handbook.Monitor production quality and throughput. Ensure that hour by hour boards, zone boards and other production monitoring systems are updated.Work with support groups to return processes to standard when abnormal conditions occur.Manages operations in accordance with attendance.Directs team leaders, material handlers, operators, and support groups on daily task.Conducts tool box talks daily to remind employees of all categories listed on the check sheet.Follows Company procedures for production identification & traceability, containment of nonconforming material, inventory movements and production reporting.When and Where:This position is located at our Plant in Irving, TX.Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.What You Need to Have:High school diploma or equivalent required3+ years’ experience in a supervisory roleAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferredAutomotive manufacturing industry experience preferredMust be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
