Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Cordova, IL facility to lead a 15‑person hourly team and ensure safe, efficient operations. The role requires staffing decisions, prioritization, and driving safety/quality improvements on a 12‑hour rotating shift.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years in a lead operator capacity; a Bachelor's degree is a plus. Experience with SAP and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Power BI) is preferred.

As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading approximately 15 hourly shift production employees.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of production Operations at the Cordova, Illinois facility.
• Determining staffing deployments and task prioritizations for the crew.
• Supporting Safety, Quality, and Productivity improvements for your assigned shift.
• Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Five (5) years of combined experience in a lead Operator role or equivalent in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
• Experience in leading full-time, part-time, and contingent hourly production employees.
• Experience with SAP, and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerBI, etc).
• Skills include the ability to drive change and implement improvement plans for identified areas of improvement.

Location: On-site Cordova, IL Shift: 12-hour rotating Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

The expected compensation range for this position is $95,591 - $116,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
