Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift, maximize productivity and efficiency, and uphold quality and safety standards in our Dunkirk plant. You will supervise hourly staff, coordinate schedules, and work with engineering to keep equipment running and processes compliant with GMP.

This role is a first-shift position with overtime and weekend availability. Nestlé offers a competitive total rewards package, including a 401k match and healthcare coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment.
• 1+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of hourly production employees to meet objectives.
• Schedule processing or packaging to maximize output while minimizing costs.
• Lead and coach teams per the factory's continuous improvement plan.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance on repairs and modifications.
• Ensure production complies with quality checks and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Provide a safe working environment for employees.

Position Summary

As a Production Supervisor, you will be the leader of your shift. You are responsible for maximizing productivity and efficiency, while minimizing costs, maintaining excellent quality standards, employee safety, and sanitation levels. In this role you will be a problem solver that drives Continuous Improvement efforts across the plant.

• Direct supervision of hourly production employees to maximize their potential and meet current and future objectives
• Manage the processing or packaging schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs including active participation in problem solving to achieve these results
• Lead and coach integrated work groups to achieve results based on the factory’s continuous improvement plan
• Confers with engineering and maintenance in coordination of repairs and modifications to demonstrate ownership of the assigned areas of the factory
• Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key check points and within “Good Manufacturing Practices”
• Provide safe working environment for employees

Requirements

• This is a first shift position. Must be open to working overtime and weekends as needed.

Salary: $75,229.20 to $99,782.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
