Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Burleson, Texas is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead activities at the Burleson, Texas plant, coordinating crews to meet schedules while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will interpret blueprints, assign labor, monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements, maintaining strong teamwork across shifts and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment; experience in Manufactured Housing preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills across all levels.
• Proven leadership and ability to plan, schedule, and drive production.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the construction of factory-built housing within a manufacturing plant.
• Examines blueprints to determine dimensions and interprets production schedules to assign staff.
• Enforces safety regulations and company policies; establishes/adjusts work procedures to meet schedules.
• Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, and quality of product.
• Calculates time card totals and production records; sets up machines and equipment.

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the construction of factory-built housing within a manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure.


• Studies production schedules and assigns employees as required to meet production schedules.


• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.


• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.


• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.


• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.


• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.


• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.


• Calculates time card totals and production records.


• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.


• Sets up machines and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment or equivalent. Experience in Manufactured Housing is preferred.
