Job summary

Philip Morris International is hiring a Production Supervisor for our Aurora, CO facility. You will lead the shift crew, ensure safety, housekeeping, and asset care, and drive continuous improvement using OPEN+ tools.

The role focuses on coaching, data-driven decision making, and coordinating across shifts to meet production plans. A Technical School or engineering degree and 3–5 years of operations leadership are required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model for the shift crew and ensure safety, housekeeping, and asset care.
  • Maintain assets and keep machinery in good condition; escalate issues.
  • Contribute to Value Stream activities to meet volume goals and reduce waste.
  • Identify inefficiencies, measure them, and drive corrective actions using OPEN+ tools.
  • Coach the crew toward productivity, safety, and quality with timely corrective actions.
  • Organize and supervise direct and indirect reports as defined by the line structure.
  • Propose and implement organizational and headcount strategies with hiring and development plans.

Your Day-to-Day


  • Serve as a role model for the shift crew, ensuring adherence to safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and proper asset care through maintenance and cleaning activities.

  • Maintain all assets within the assigned area, ensuring machinery remains in good working condition by escalating issues to the appropriate line structure.

  • Contribute to the organization of Value Stream activities to meet volume objectives cost-effectively, with a strong focus on waste reduction. Support synergies across different shifts to align with plans and standards.

  • Assist the crew in identifying inefficiencies, measuring them, driving action plans, and implementing corrective actions using OPEN+ tools.

  • Coach the Operations crew towards continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and quality, ensuring deviations or shortfalls are promptly addressed through corrective actions.

  • Organize, supervise, and coach the work of direct and indirect reports as defined by the line structure.

  • Make proposals to management and implement agreed-upon organizational and headcount strategies through effective hiring, assessment, training, and development plans.


Who We're Looking For


  • 3-5 years of experience in operations with direct/indirect experience in production floor crew management

  • Technical School or graduate engineering degree with experience in continuous improvement roles (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar).

  • Effective coaching and communication skills.

  • High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.

  • Ability to work with data, information, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools

  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts rotating, including nights and weekends

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical data to support recommendations.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaboration, teamwork, customer orientation, quick learning, and attention to detail.

  • Legally authorized to work in the US.


Annual Base Salary Range: $ 88,000- $110,000

We offer employees a competitive base salary and the potential to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
