Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that all donut manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety standards. This role leads and supports a team of production associates to meet quality, quantity, and scheduling goals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily production activities to ensure donuts are produced according to company standards and customer specifications (quality, taste, size, appearance).
Lead, coach, and develop production staff to maintain productivity and morale.
Monitor and adjust production lines to optimize output, reduce waste, and resolve any process or equipment issues.
Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety regulations (FDA/USDA), and company SOPs.
Work closely with QA, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse teams to support smooth operations.
Maintain accurate production reports, batch records, and downtime logs.
Enforce safety protocols and participate in accident investigations and corrective actions.
Assist with training of new employees on processes, procedures, and safe handling of equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the production area in coordination with the sanitation team.
Qualifications:
2+ years of production experience in food manufacturing; bakery or donut experience is a big plus.
1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a production environment.
Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, GMPs, and OSHA safety standards.
Solid communication and leadership skills;
bilingual Required (English/Spanish)
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive under pressure in a fast-moving setting.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for long periods, work in hot/cold environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping, and working around bakery equipment.
