Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor - High Voltage Direct Current to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Alamo, TN.

You will inspire and develop a team of production technicians and operators while driving safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement performance. Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience; 3 to 6 years of production supervision experience preferred.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and production tracking systems.
  • Experience developing and managing skills matrices, cross-training programs, and employee development plans.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies; Kaizen leadership experience is a plus.

  • Lead and motivate production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  • Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to support changing production demands.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by partnering with HSE and ensuring compliance with workplace standards.
  • Drive quality excellence through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize SQDCI metrics, Tier Boards, and ITM processes to improve operational performance.
  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams to maximize equipment uptime and support TPM activities.
  • Coach and develop employees through training, cross-functional skill development, and succession planning.
  • Champion 5S and Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, organization, and productivity.
