Top Wood seeks a Production Superintendent in Georgia to lead plant operations, drive operational excellence, and manage safety, quality, and cost. You will lead from the floor, supervise multiple teams, and steer continuous improvement initiatives across production and maintenance.

The role requires 8–15 years in the composite panel industry, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and strong data-driven leadership to deliver results and growth. Relocation assistance is offered.

  • Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Strong communicator able to engage plant floor teams and executive leadership.
  • Understand P&L impact and drive cost-control initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead KPI development and monitoring.
  • Promote safety-first culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Build and coach a high-performing leadership team on the plant floor.
  • Partner with maintenance to ensure preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Align production with business needs through collaboration with sales and procurement.

  • Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 / year, benefits, bonus structure, relocation assistance. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Description:

The Production Superintendent located in Georgia will be a high-performing operations leader with proven success in the composite panel industry, specifically within MDF, particleboard, or related engineered wood products. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, leading high-performing teams, and optimizing plant performance across safety, production, quality, and cost. This is an opportunity to bring in an "A-player" who can elevate performance, lead from the front, and contribute to the long-term strategic growth of the organization

  • Establish and monitor KPIs across safety, quality, production, and cost
  • Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies that improve profitability
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
  • Manage plant‑level budgets and drive cost control initiatives
  • Partner closely with maintenance leadership to ensure strong preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning
  • Reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Serve as a key leader in driving the overall success of the operation
  • Support strategic initiatives and capital improvement projects
  • Work closely with sales, procurement, and corporate leadership to align production with business needs
