Job summary

Nouryon in Axis, Alabama seeks a Production Superintendent to lead the operation of assigned processes, manage production personnel, and ensure safety and efficiency. Reporting to the operations manager, you will own the production schedule, drive continuous improvements, and interface with customers on toll manufacturing projects.

The role requires an engineering degree and 4+ years in chemical manufacturing with prior operations leadership; union experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of chemical manufacturing experience.
• Prior operations leadership experience; union experience strongly preferred.

• Responsible for the production schedule and inventory control to utilize resources in an efficient and safe manner.
• Provide technical support for process improvements and new processes.
• Responsible for HSES activities within production department.

About the job

The production superintendent is a key member of leadership reporting to the operations manager. Their responsibility area includes all functions related to the operation of their assigned processes.

• Manage production personnel to meet production requirements and support business objectives.
• Responsible for the production schedule and inventory control to utilize resources in an efficient and safe manner.
• Provide technical support for process improvements and new processes.
• Responsible for HSES activities within production department.
• Interface with customers as required including coordination of toll manufacturing projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline will be considered.
• 4+ years of chemical manufacturing experience.
• Prior operations leadership experience.
• Great if you have Union experience strongly preferred.

this is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Operations Manager and based in Axis, AL.
