Job summary

Stratas Foods in Nashville, TN is seeking an entry-level Production Stacker to safely stack, inspect, and move finished products throughout the production area. This role emphasizes adherence to GMPs and food safety standards while supporting continuous production flow.

The position requires the ability to operate a pallet jack, read instructions, and work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Stack finished products per established specifications and patterns.
  • Inspect finished products for defects, damaged packaging, and labeling.
  • Remove non-conforming product and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of product to prevent production interruptions.
  • Safely operate a pallet jack to transport products and pallets.
  • Stage completed product for pickup by warehouse personnel.
  • Support line changeovers, sanitation, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Assist other team members to meet production goals.

Job Description

The Production Stacker is responsible for safely stacking, inspecting, and preparing finished products for movement throughout the production area. This position ensures products are properly stacked, maintains continuous product flow, and transports finished product using a manual or electric pallet jack while adhering to all food safety, quality, and safety standards.

This is an entry-level position on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

  • Stack finished products according to established specifications and stacking patterns.
  • Inspect finished products for defects, damaged packaging, incorrect labeling, or other quality concerns.
  • Remove non-conforming product from the production line and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of product to prevent production interruptions.
  • Safely operate a manual or electric pallet jack to transport finished product, materials, and empty pallets throughout the production area.
  • Stage completed product in designated areas for pickup by warehouse personnel.
  • Supply empty pallets and other materials to production lines as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Follow all food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist with line changeovers, sanitation, and general housekeeping activities as assigned.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Assist other production team members as needed to meet production goals.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Equipment/Software Skills:Ability to operate production equipment safely and effectively.. Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production schedules.

  • Ability to safely operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to identify quality concerns and report them promptly.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Ability to work independently after training.
Additional Information

Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs and ladders (portable, fixed). Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
