Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Production Specialist to perform wafer fabrication in a clean room, following written specifications and safety guidelines. The role supports manufacturing operations with accurate data entry and adherence to procedures.

The position is onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no remote option. 0–2 years in wafer fab or manufacturing is preferred, and candidates should be capable of learning tasks under supervision and collaborating with coworkers.

Job Description

The Production Specialist will perform wafer fabrications in the production of semiconductor devices in a clean room environment by following written specifications.

• Operate standard wafer fabrication (fab) equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and demonstrate working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Accurately record and enter operational data into designated logs, forms, or digital systems
• This job description is not intended to be all inclusive. You may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations

Work Hours

The scheduled work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This is a fully onsite position and does not offer the option to work remotely.

Requirements/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0 – 2 years’ experience, preferably working in a wafer fab or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with close supervision and instruction

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $17/HR - $27/HR.*
