Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group in Fort Atkinson, WI, seeks a Production Specialist for a temporary role on the first shift (Mon-Fri 5:30am-2:00pm). This position involves producing precision instruments in a modern facility, reading orders and blueprints, and ensuring quality at every step.

You’ll use microscopes and a range of production equipment, with training provided for soldering. No evenings or weekend shifts; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Willing to work overtime if required.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan work by reading product fulfilment orders and blueprints with attention to detail, and follow precise configuration instructions.
• Ensure you have what’s needed to complete the job, including taking inventory of parts and replenishing stock.
• Craft products using a variety of production equipment and hand tools.
• Join or secure parts using crimps, screws, solders and fasteners.
• Validate products meet tight tolerances and quality standards at each stage.
• Collaborate with others to solve problems and add value beyond individual effort.
