- Print, sort, collate and package payroll checks, employee statements and associated client documents, as required.
- Organise payroll materials by client and ensure packages are complete and correctly prepared.
- Perform quality checks to identify missing, incorrect or duplicated documents before distribution.
- Prepare completed payroll packages for dispatch, delivery or collection in line with established deadlines.
- Operate production equipment, printers and document‑handling machinery, following training and procedures.
- Handle confidential payroll and employee information with discretion and care.
- Maintain an organised, clean and efficient production workspace.
- Work collaboratively with payroll and operations colleagues to resolve discrepancies and meet client deadlines.
- Follow established processes to maintain accuracy, security and consistent service quality.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a production, print room, mailroom, packaging, document processing or similar operational role.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to repetitive, accuracy‑critical tasks.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable working with printed documents, computer systems and production equipment.
- A reliable, proactive approach with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to follow established procedures and handle confidential information appropriately.
- A team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.
- Ability to commute to the company’s Long Island office and work on‑site.
Desirable experience:
- Previous work within payroll services, financial services or another environment handling confidential documents.
- Experience preparing high‑volume document batches, checks or client packages.
- Familiarity with quality‑control procedures, printing equipment or dispatch processes.
What’s on Offer?
- An opportunity to join an established and growing payroll services business.
- A hands‑on role within an operational team where accuracy and reliability matter.
- On‑the‑job training and the opportunity to develop production and payroll operations knowledge.
- A collaborative working environment with an established client‑service operation.
- Estimated annual salary of $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience.
