Job summary

QXO, Inc. in Dallas, TX, is hiring for a production-oriented role on our manufacturing floor. You will read work orders, interpret drawings, measure materials with tape measures, and operate cutting equipment to shape components to spec.

You will inspect finished products for quality, help move materials, maintain production records, and keep workstations safe and clean. Overtime may be required to meet daily goals. Health benefits and 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Comfort working with hand tools and production equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or a related field.
  • Experience operating saws, cutting equipment, or fabrication machinery.
  • Familiarity with blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials (50+ lbs as required).
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Indoor/outdoor work in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, or overtime if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, and verify materials using tape measures and other tools.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production area.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to production and inventory.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe, including end-of-day cleanup.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Support team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
