Job summary

Precise Systems Inc. seeks a Production Sonobuoy Engineer (PSE) at our Crane, IN site to support Airborne ASW Systems Engineering.

You will oversee production sonobuoys, craft and manage engineering requirements for design, manufacturing, quality and reliability, and coordinate with the Contracting Officer and manufacturers. A BS in engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in production/quality/engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret contractor technical documentation.
• Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interpretation of performance specification requirements to Contracting Officer and manufacturers.
• Monitor and generate QA and reliability assessments of production performance.
• Generate and maintain engineering requirements for design, manufacturing, quality and reliability.
• Review ECPs, deviations, and waivers; provide recommendations for approval of hardware changes.
• Assess configuration item impact of ECP changes and advise on qualification testing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new methods.
