Job summary

Papa John's in Arizona is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to assist the Production Team Leader in managing operations, guiding the dough production and sanitation, and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are followed. You will drive productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced facility.

This role reports to the Production Manager and requires hands-on leadership, training, and coordination with cross-functional teams to meet daily production

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operations of dough production and sanitation to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Develop, introduce, evaluate and conduct training on departmental SSOPs aligned with BRC code.
• Maintain quality and consistency of dough through systemized checks and balances and QA requirements per BRC code.
• Support monthly internal Quality audits and yearly external BRC audits.
• Supervise daily production tasks, assist in team meetings, and support timely performance reviews to ensure efficiency.
• Perform annual departmental re-training for Safety, GMPs, Quality/BRC (classroom and hands-on).
• Assist Team Leader in controlling labor costs through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training.
• Perform daily inventory counts to ensure an adequate supply of product is on hand and assist Team Leader in ordering product when necessary.
• Complete Team Member timecard verification and sign-off through Workday.
• Field and resolve Team Member complaints and attendance issues including supporting documentation.
• Order and maintain QCC operational supplies within budget margins.
• Assist on the floor with receiving bulk ingredients, rotating breaks, unloading trays, and loading storage trailers (≈20% of day).
• Maintain accurate and complete departmental records including MES inputs for Production shifts.
• Support Production Team Leader in daily pre-shift meetings to include Safety, Quality, People, and Cost.
• Perform duties of Production Team Leader in his/her absence.

• Assist Team Leader in controlling labor costs through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training.
• Perform daily inventory counts to ensure an adequate supply of product is on hand and assist Team Leader in ordering product when necessary.
