Job Responsibilities
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY/SUPPORT:
- Observe QA and Regulatory practices to ensure all work is done in compliance.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly management meetings as needed.
- Complete all special projects in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in special projects and/or other assignments as required.
- Work overtime and odd schedules as required by workload.
- Serve as a member of the ITW Medical team in producing class II medical devices for distribution to our customers worldwide.
- Practice and encourage courtesy and helpfulness among all team members.
- Become fully trained in all areas of the work that is performed in specific production areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of automation and mold room technicians in the plant.
- Make decisions on production and personnel matters to ensure a safe and orderly production environment.
- Correct non-standard behavior and advise Human Resources and Production Manager when disciplinary action is required.
- Promote Safety, Quality, and Production goals.
- Ensure equipment is always in good operating condition on shift.
- Accountable for training of employees and ensuring they understand job requirements.
- Perform yearly reviews of employees on shift.
- Verify employee punches in the payroll program and keep accurate records of attendance.
- Approve vacation time for staff on shift.
- Responsible for all technical aspects of injection molding and assembly automation operations.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment required for automation and molding processes.
- Document work performed in the appropriate format according to the quality system.
- Assist Quality with finding and implementing corrective actions from customer rejections.
- Communicate with other shifts, operators, and technicians to give and receive updates on equipment status.
- Accommodate occasional flexible schedule when required.
- Knowledge of QMS Documents that relate to the role and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of related experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric systems.
- Familiarity with automated assembly and sonic welding preferred.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
