Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Wisconsin is seeking a Lab/Production Technician to independently set up equipment for manufacturing chemical compounds and to execute analytical testing. You will ensure end-to-end quality, document data, and adapt testing methods as needed to meet specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a life science and 1+ year of laboratory production experience, with the 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) on a 2/2/3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Life Science discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting in chemical production.
• Experience with ISO and quality systems is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently sets up equipment to manufacture chemical compounds and performs analytical testing.
• Ensures end-to-end quality and documents data per guidelines.
• Rechecks results and escalates issues as needed.
• Leads the department during supervisor absences or directs a small production group.
• Assists with workforce scheduling and shift handovers for smooth operations.
• Mentors and trains new hires and maintains calibration logs.
