Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher with no experience required.
• Experience in planning, preparing, issuing and controlling production schedules.
• Familiarity with ShipConstructor and IFS is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate material requirements and manage production flow.
• Ability to schedule equipment and personnel.
• Ability to prepare work orders or purchase requests.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
• Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to production requirements
• Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
• Schedule equipment and personnel
• Confirm material supply and demands
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
• Schedule and expedite movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests
