Job summary

Therm-x of California is seeking a Machine Shop Associate to coordinate production schedules and track work orders in a fast-paced shop in Hayward, CA. You will monitor capacity across CNC lathes, mills, and other equipment, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate production records.

This role collaborates with the Production Planner and shop staff to optimize schedules and productivity. The position offers full-time hours with competitive pay and benefits, including health coverage and a 401(k)

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain daily and weekly machine shop production schedules.
• Coordinate job priorities based on demand, due dates, materials, and capacity.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules to minimize delays and downtime.
• Communicate priority and hot jobs and schedule changes to machine shop staff.
• Coordinate with Production Planner to meet targets and on-time delivery.
• Monitor machine utilization and production capacity across CNC lathes, VTLs, mills, and other equipment.
• Track setup time, cycle time, and production output; identify bottlenecks and improvements.
• Maintain production records in Epicor or other ERP systems; track work orders and quantities.
• Manage labor and production records via clock-in/out; follow up on delays and shortages.
• Prepare reports on production status, capacity, and performance.
