Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a production scheduler/coordinator to ensure adherence to processing specifications and schedules. You will collaborate across departments to meet production goals, monitor deviations, and support corrective actions.

The role includes generating daily/weekly production plans and reporting outcomes. Qualified candidates will interpret drawings, manage documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production schedules to meet goals with cross-functional collaboration.
• Observe processing, compare with schedules, report deviations, and support corrective actions.
• Write reports on delays and deviations with improvement recommendations.
• Interpret travelers/drawings/procedures and advise on programs for metrics.
• Coordinate maintenance and realign production schedules as needed.
• Coordinate with operations to prep for next day’s production.
• Report production activity and metrics.
• Generate daily/weekly production schedules and attend production meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluates production, Dimensional schedule to ensure compliance with processing specifications and work collaboratively cross functionally to meet production goals


• Observes processing of material; compares information with schedules to ensure compliance with processing specifications; informs supervisor of deviations from processing instructions and stops work if necessary; documents problems, procedures and production. Follows up and support engineers or department managers with corrective actions.


• Writes reports describing processing delays and deviations and provides recommendations for continuous improvement.


• Interprets shop travelers, drawings and procedures and recommends programs to performance metrics.


• Coordinates maintenance and repair of department units/machines and realigns production schedule if necessary.


• Coordinate with operations and leads to prepare for the next day’s production.


• Responsible for reporting of production.


• Generates daily and weekly production schedules to align with production goals and attend production meetings.


• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Knowledge of all types of materials and thoroughly familiar with their characteristics regarding forging.


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


• Ability to speak effectively before managers or other Company employees.


• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.00 to $26.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.

• eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.


• Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
