Job summary

Live Comfortably LLC in Martinsville, VA is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan and coordinate manufacturing activities in a full-time role. You will review forecasts, create and distribute work orders, and manage materials to meet production and shipping goals.

You will interact with routing and warehouse teams to ensure timely execution. The role requires daily use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Lotus Notes, with the ability to read style numbers and RF devices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read English alpha and numeric characters to read style numbers and RF devices.
• Must be able to operate a computer and use Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review forecast to ensure product and raw materials are available to meet production and shipping requirements.
• Create work orders and batch and print them.
• Meet with routing clerk to discuss product shipping schedule.
• Print work orders and distribute them to production lines.
• Close work orders when complete and ensure materials were consumed and labor hours earned.
• Run bill of material inquiry on all SKUs to maintain adequate materials supply.
• Maintain record of price tickets for date and run time of required customers.
• Create rehandle work orders and recall them from the warehouse.
• Schedule production of short runs by machine, ship date and ship time.
• Run short reports to notify supervisor of shortages.

Ensure materials were consumed and labor hours earned. Run bill of material inquiry on all skus prior to maintain adequate materials supply. Maintain record of price tickets for the date and run time of required customers. Create rehandle work orders and recall them from the warehouse. Receive rehandles and make record of the transfer of goods. Schedule production of short runs by machine, ship date and ship time. Run short reports throughout the day to notify supervisor of shortages needed to be produced. Substitute raw materials when shortages occur and notify clerk of substituted items.

Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist the body as needed to operate various types of industrial equipment. Must be able to read and recognize English alpha and numeric characters to read style numbers and RF devices, use a computer, must know word, lotus notes, excel outlook and how to use a calculator.

Not all areas of the plant and warehouse are climate controlled and exposure to heat and/or cold can occur.
