Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination or related role; cosmetic/manufacturing a plus.
  • Experience with SAP Batch Master ERP or similar ERP/MRP scheduling system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and adjust daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Update schedule changes, sequencing, dates, work orders, and records.
  • Utilize SAP Batch Master ERP to maintain batch production schedules and data.
  • Review work orders, material availability, production status, and constraints.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, QA, Inventory, Logistics, and Customer Service.
  • Communicate schedule changes to stakeholders and update systems/reports.
  • Support scheduling governance, standard work, and change-control processes.
  • Escalate capacity conflicts or material constraints to Scheduling and Planning Manager.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Production Scheduler is responsible for maintaining accurate, current, and executable daily and weekly production schedules across manufacturing operations. The role translates the approved production plan into detailed site-level schedules, monitors execution, and makes timely routine updates as conditions change. High attention to detail, accuracy, and regular schedule maintenance are integral to this position. The Scheduler must ensure that scheduling records, work orders, priorities, and communications remain aligned throughout the operating day.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to reflect approved priorities, manufacturing capacity, material readiness, labor and equipment availability.
  • Perform regular schedule maintenance throughout the workday; promptly update schedule changes, sequencing, dates, work orders, and related records so the published schedule remains accurate and actionable.
  • Utilize SAP Batch Master ERP to maintain batch production schedules, work orders, and scheduling data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Review work orders, material availability, production status, and operational constraints and communicate issues that may affect execution.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Customer Service to support on-time execution.
  • Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to affected stakeholders and confirm that changes are reflected in applicable systems and reports.
  • Support production sequencing and routine schedule adjustments within established planning priorities and decision rules.
  • Escalate significant capacity conflicts, material constraints, customer-priority changes, cross-site conflicts, or other exceptions to the Scheduling and Planning Manager.
  • Track schedule adherence and maintain accurate, up-to-date scheduling records and reports.
  • Participate in daily scheduling/production meetings and provide clear status updates on schedule changes, risks, and constraints.
  • Support documented standard work, cross-training, backup coverage, and continuous improvement activities within Planning and Scheduling.
  • Perform work in accordance with GMP, FDA requirements, company procedures, and applicable industry practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant manufacturing/scheduling experience may be considered.

Experience:2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination, production planning, or a related manufacturing role preferred. Experience in cosmetic, personal care, supplement, or other regulated manufacturing is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy when maintaining schedules, production data, work orders, and reports.
  • Strong personal discipline for frequent and consistent schedule maintenance; ability to recognize when changes in production status require immediate schedule updates.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Batch Master ERP or comparable ERP/MRP scheduling systems; SAP Batch Master experience preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, production sequencing, capacity constraints, and material availability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and manufacturing sites.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment regarding when issues require escalation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to follow established scheduling governance, standard work, and change-control expectations.
Certification or License:

APICS/ASCM certification is a plus but not required.
