Job summary

Intralox L.L.C. in Sparrows Point, MD, is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that balance customer demand, material availability, and capacity, while respecting priorities across functions.

You will analyze data, identify bottlenecks, create schedule scenarios, and report on key metrics. The role requires ERP experience (Oracle EBS preferred), strong Excel skills, and collaboration with Operations, Materials Planning, Engineering, and Program Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, supply chain, operations, business, or related field.
  • Candidates without a degree may be considered based on relevant manufacturing planning and scheduling experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, production control, or supply chain.
  • 2–3 years of experience with ERP systems in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and production control principles.
  • Proficiency with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules balancing demand, material availability, capacity, and priorities.
  • Analyze production demand, capacity, and material availability to create feasible schedules.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to meet commitments.
  • Develop schedule scenarios and capacity plans for changing priorities.
  • Monitor and report planning metrics such as schedule adherence and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Materials Planning, Engineering, and Program Management to resolve shortages and risks.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes through capacity assessments.
  • Create reports and dashboards to improve planning visibility.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of planning processes and ERP utilization.

  • The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and operational priorities. This role proactively identifies constraints, evaluates potential risks, and collaborates across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management to support customer commitments and operational performance.
  • Analyze production demand, capacity, and material availability to develop and maintain achievable production schedules.
  • Identify scheduling constraints and bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to support customer commitments.
  • Develop schedule scenarios and capacity plans to support changing business priorities and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and report key planning metrics, including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, backlog health, and resource utilization.
  • Partner with Operations, Materials Planning, Engineering, and Program Management to resolve material shortages, capacity issues, and scheduling risks.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and major customer projects through planning and capacity assessments.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that improve planning visibility and decision-making.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on planning processes, scheduling accuracy, and ERP utilization.
  • Provide planning support across multiple product lines and manufacturing areas as needed.
Position Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Candidates without a degree will be considered based on relevant experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, materials management, or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum 2-4- years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, production control, or supply chain role.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), inventory management, and production control principles.
  • Proficiency with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems.
  • Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to analyze production data, identify constraints, and develop practical scheduling solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM certification.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing value streams.
  • Experience developing operational reports, dashboards, and planning metrics.
