Job summary

Sysco (FreshPoint) is hiring Production Sanitation Associates to maintain a clean, safe production environment in our facility. This role requires following the 7-Steps of sanitation on various machinery and conveyors, cleaning floors and walls, and adhering to all food safety policies and SQF standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of sanitation experience, and the ability to work independently while paying close attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• One year of on-the-job sanitation experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the Produce Value Added Room(s) and equipment using the 7-Steps of sanitation.
• Clean floors, walls, and designated work areas.
• Follow all Food, Sanitation and Safety policies and SQF standards.
• Maintain cleanliness around facilities and address sanitation opportunities.
• Report unsafe issues to supervisor and follow safety rules.

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the FreshPoint Produce Value Added Room(s) and equipment utilizing the 7-Steps of sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Understand and practice the 7-Steps of sanitation when cleaning and sanitizing different types of machinery, support equipment, and conveyors.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and specific work areas.
• Responsible for adhering to all Food, Sanitation and Safety policies.
• Responsible for adhering to proper handling of all produce according to SQF standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the facilities property by picking up trash/debris throughout the property and by addressing all opportunities to improve sanitation.
• Work effectively with immediate supervisor to ensure proper cleaning practices are followed.
• Report to the supervisor immediately any unfixable/unsafe issues.
• Observe and enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e., attendance, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Associate Handbook, etc.)
• Complies with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e., OSHA, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
• Adherence to work schedule.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: One-year on-the-job production sanitation experience required.
• Requirement: Must be 18 years of age. Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to details.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Certification in material handling equipment or the ability to become certified.
