Job summary

Enfield Farms, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Case Handler to open cases of raw product, load the line, assemble and stack finished cases, and keep the production floor clean.

The role requires repeated lifting of 25–40 lbs throughout an 8+ hour shift and strict adherence to GMP and SQF standards. You will perform duties including inspecting packaging, assembling cases, and following all sanitation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Employee must develop the speed needed to feed raw product to the production process. (2 cases per minute.)
• Prepper: must be able to break down 2 cases per minute, from taking the case from pallet to placing the case on the buffer table.
• Dumper: Must be able to dump raw product and to break down two cases per minute, from taking the case at the buffer table to placing the cardboard on the stack for the cleaner.
• Stacker: must be able to get the pallet, place the slip sheet on the pallet and then stack the product following customer specifications, stacker must be able to stack 2 cases per minute.
• Safety: follows safety guidelines, as described in the Heavy Position Training for Dumper, Prepper and Stacker.

El Operador de Cajas Pesadas es responsable de abrir cajas de producto crudo, introducirlo en la lnea de produccin, apilar cajas de producto terminado y limpiar el rea de produccin de restos de fruta, envases usados y basura. Este puesto requiere levantar repetidamente entre 11 y 18 kg (25-40 lbs) durante todo el turno, que dura 8 horas o ms. Debe comprender y seguir las Buenas Prcticas de Manufactura (BPM) y los estndares SQF.

Responsabilidades del puesto que se evaluarn a los 30 das (lista no exhaustiva):

• Levantar y vaciar repetidamente producto congelado a granel en la lnea.
• Inspeccionar visualmente el empaque para detectar defectos.
• Ensamblar cajas manual y mecnicamente.
• Limpiar el rea de produccin de restos de fruta, envases usados y basura.
• Cumplir con todas las polticas de seguridad alimentaria y BPM.
• Garantizar la seguridad del producto y la seguridad personal siguiendo todas las BPM, usando guantes, mascarillas y prendas adecuadas segn los estndares del cliente/EFI.
• Seguir todos los procedimientos de saneamiento para la manipulacin del producto.
• Verificar que los cdigos de los paquetes sean correctos y estn en la ubicacin adecuada. Preparacin de las cajas para su llenado.
• Inspeccin de las cajas para asegurar que estn correctamente selladas y ensambladas.
• Mantener siempre un rea de trabajo limpia y segura.

Working Conditions

• Frequently works in extreme cold (non-weather), in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Works in areas that require ear protection and/or other PPE. The worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, vibrations, working on mezzanines, and exposure to chemicals.

Physical Demands

The Heavy Case Packing position is considered heavy to very heavy work. This position requires repeated lifting of 25-40 LBS of weight throughout the entirety of the shift lasting 8 or more hours. Frequently lifts to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift and occasionally up to 100 pounds or more. Lifting product from shoulder height to hip and floor to hip movements. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb, or balance, or talk or hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Environment is quick paced and repetitious.

Apilador: Debe ser capaz de tomar el pal, colocar la lmina deslizante sobre el pal y luego apilar el producto señ las especificaciones del cliente. El apilador debe ser capaz de apilar 2 cajas por minuto.
Seguridad: Debe seguir las normas de seguridad, tal como se describen en la capacitacin para trabajos pesados para descargadores, preparadores y apiladores.
