Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing in Salt Lake City is seeking a Production Racker for 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday) with occasional Saturdays. Pay starts at $18.00/hour with performance review after 90 days and same-day pay.

This hands-on, entry-level role involves racking and un-racking parts, inspecting, recording production data, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. Strong English communication and a good work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcome — no prior manufacturing experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
• Ability to read and understand work orders and safety instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Rack, un-rack, and package customer parts according to work orders.
• Safely handle customer products and tooling to prevent damage.
• Perform visual inspections of parts before processing.
• Record production information accurately.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures around industrial equipment and chemicals.

Overview

As a Production Racker, you will:

• Rack, un-rack, and package customer parts according to work orders


• Safely handle customer products and tooling to prevent damage


• Perform visual inspections of parts before processing


• Record production information accurately


• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation


• Maintain a clean and organized work area


• Follow all safety procedures while working around industrial equipment and chemicals


• This is a hands-on, fast-paced general labor position in a manufacturing environment — perfect for someone dependable, safety-focused, and ready to work.

• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs


• Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment


• Work around sharp parts, heavy carts, and process lines


• Use of hearing protection and other safety equipment
